[free/paid]css changes in joomla and smf theme

-Im using a joomla theme where i need a module on the top,i almost got it but i dont really know how to remove the module below that, in short its pretty simple for a person who know this stuff.
-In smf i want the ad management mod or something else done so that i cant post a clickable ad with a url offcourse.

In Joomla ads should be real easy. I forget exactly were it is but in the admin Panel there is a place called banners. If you leave one of the images there and just ad your code the ads will show in Joomla. I am sorry I don't have a better description for you other than that but it has been awhile since I used Joomla. I did have it working though that way when I used it. As for SMF can you not just install the ad mod. Do you get errors. Are you using a custom theme.
