parse error, unexpected '<'

after following Ad Management mod - Installation Instructions for 2.0 Beta 3 Public

in file index.template.php getting this error.

php designer 2008 says line # 173 which contains             <td align="right" class="catbg">

is the culprit.  i can't figure out why it's causing a problem, but i cannot load my forum.  please help!

i figured it out.  i went in and actually edited every file in SMF manually.  i learned that you can just install the zip file directly from the forum.  and now it works!
