have edited all files except for index.template.php as it seems the edits specified on this forum dont work with this theme...
ie: In your theme directory you want to modify, in "index.template.php" find:

____there is no <body>'; found.
and also cant find other parts in the code.
am attaching the file here, please could someone help me?

try looking here (http://files4.smfhelp.com/index.php?dir=Ad+mod+edited+files%2F) for the files you need. These are not packages. unzip and upload to your custom theme folder, overwriting the old.
