Title: Installing the ad mod
Post by: Nordino on April 28, 2007, 11:56:40 AM
Hi.

I am trying to install the AdMod on my forum, but after installing it "AdMod" doesn't appear under configuration. As far as I understand, that has something to do that I don't have the standard theme.

Information:
Link - www.newutd.no/diskusjon
Version - 1.1.12
Theme - Dilbert MC
Mods installed - "Users online today"

Please help. Thanks in advance!

It should still show under configuration. Is there a "languages" folder in the dilbermc theme folder. ??? If so copy the modifications.english.php file from the default theme language folder to there. If there is no Language folder under the dilber MC theme, make one and copy that file over. Also in order for it to show on a different theme you will have to have some modified template files, you should be able to find the dilber MC modifed template files here:

http://files4.smfhelp.com/

Go to the "Ad mod edited files/" directory and see if they are there. IT IS NOT A MOD. unpack the zip file and upload the template files that are in it to your dilber MC theme folder. Rename the originals so that they don't get overwrote. Also these files ONLY have the ad mod code in them so if you have any other mods that touch the template files in Dilber they won't work.

And this is why I like this mod so much, not only is it a great mod you get full follow on support for the mod.

I need to use the edited dilber files also. Cheers guys you think of everything.

Thank you very much, Bigguy.

I did what you said and now it works fine.

One more question.... The ad is only showed for the people who are logged in, not for the guests. How can I make the banners viewable for all my visitors?
