if just installed ad-mangement mod and if added the adsense code (shown below):

Ive already done this:
Changed languages to English
Changed Theme to "default""
Changed Permissions
but the ad's won't show up.. :(
i am using SMF 1.1.2 and Tinyportal 0.97

What langauge do you normally use. ??? Do you have the translated files for your language. ??? This might be the problem but I am not quite sure.

What big white bar are you referring to. ??? I was at your site and I dont see it.
I am also having problems with the adsense not showing up. My BB is at http://www.livingwithhighbloodpressure.net/discussion/ I have installed the Mod using the BB package facility and everything seemed to go great - no problems until I tried to check for the add placements. At the moment all I have added are the 729 X 90 Adsense Banner but that is not showing anywhere.
My set up is SMF 1.1.2 with the standard Template being used i.e Babylon.
Anyone know where I might find Documentation for this Mod. It could be that all I ahve done is not install correctly or missed something afterwards etc. Not being a Tech I might have missed something obvious.

@ sgsmorgan: You will have to modify that theme in order for it to show up. All the edits are stickied in the Theme support board. Make sure you get the right edits for the right version you are running.
