Title: Permission problem
Post by: Jacbri.com on January 18, 2007, 05:43:48 AM
I have premission problem on my board.

I'm unable to control ads viewing via permissions.

So I have two options - all members see ads or all members do not see ads.

How this can be fixed? Thank you.

And is there a reason why you can't contorl them via permissions?

hm, I'm asking you that :)

OK, so let me explain from begining one more time.

1. I've installed this mod via pacakge manager, smf ver 1.1.1
2. all went fine, so I go to ad admin panel and setup one test ad
3. then I went to permission and saw that enable ads box is unchecked but ads were showing for all users
4. I wanted to show ads to guests only, so I leave boxes unchecked for all groups and checked for group guests
5. and there were no result, still all users can see ad

Now my question is, has anybody had this issue before me?

Make a test account, put them in a random group, then log into that group and see if you still see the ads.
Because you are admin, you can't use permissions to remove the ads for yourself.
