Title: An error ocurred whilst installing the mod

Hi there,
I just tried to install the mod but it comes up with an error. It says:

2: copy(/usr/local/www/htdocs/forum.mysite.com/public_html/Sources/ModSettings.php~): failed to open stream: Permission denied
File: /usr/local/www/htdocs/forum.mysite.com/public_html/Sources/Subs-Package.php
Line: 1241

has anyone got an idea how to solve this?
Every kind of help would be highly appreciated!

CHMOD ModSettings.php to 777

didnt change anything. Is there anything else I have to chmod?

CHMOD all your files and folders.
Also, tell me what it says in the error log if you continue to get errors.

Sweet its working now after I chmodded all the files. now is that save or which ones should I chmod back to 755/644...

It is safe, but if you feel uneasy , switch it back to whatever you want.

so which are the critical files that would need to be switchted back to 755??

I'm not big on permissions, i think everything is fine at 777, but you can change things to 755. Folders i believe can be at 644. However, i would contact my host to find out whats best for my board. They would know best.
