Is it possible to make ads appear like a new set of boards, under their own sub-category?

No, not yet it isn't maybe in the next version of the ad mod, but we're not telling, lol. joking, no not right now it's not.
Just to update this thread - yes its possible, I've only done it for helios_multi template, but the code is here (http://www.smfads.com/forums/index.php?topic=261.0).
