Title: can't apply mod

its asking for :

FTP Information Required
Some of the files the package manager needs to modify are not writable. This needs to be changed by logging into FTP and using it to chmod or create the files and folders. Your FTP information may be temporarily cached for proper operation of the package manager.

even after filling the details correctly i am not able to proceed  ???

help :(

You need to alter the permission levels of your directories through CHMOD.

SMF requires the settings 0775 or 0777 for all most directories and files.
