Title: Musiconica Fix?
Post by: cerberus on August 10, 2007, 12:33:27 PM
Hey everyone.
Has anyone managed to get the SMF Ad mod working in the Musiconica theme yet? I have looked around the forums and seen people saying (months ago) that they are WORKING on it, however I'm wondering if it has been fixed yet.

I was able to put adsense in musiconica theme on top and bottom of the page.

To see it: www.projectwally.com

If anyone needs help, let me know..

i tested musiconia TP with SMF 1.1.3 and TP 0.9.8

i did not upload the Display.template file and adsense ad shows up after the first post and after the last post as I have set them

I can also place adsense code on the top of the page fine.. have not tried other places

aslo if you do not upload the display.template the site tree will be right below the menu

I'd justreally love to be able to get SMFAds working on my Musiconica Theme site.
I wanted to also use Tiny Portal but it doesn't work.

if I tell you that it might mess up your head  ;D

Actually I migrated from e107 and believe me its not easy..

1. e107 --> migrate to SMF 1.1.3 fresh install (thanks to JayBachatero for his wonder conversion script)
2. install tinyportal 0.9.8 Manually check this threads http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=14230.0 and http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=14195
3. install ad management from packages
4. Install musiconia from the theme manager
5. remove the Display.Template file from musiconia directory
6. you have to manually edit index.template to place the yahoo banner on top

I'll try this this up on a secondary site just incase I mess up (which is likely knowing me)
But thank you! I shall try it out.
