They CAN work....but you have to alter the template files manually to get them to work.  This is how it is with ALL SMF modifications.

To alter the file manually, open the xml file and make the alterations noted in there.  If you need help, post another topic in this forum with you questions on the xml file and we'll see what we can do to help you.
