I have installed it at www.thehomeexchangeforums.com using the same adword code that works on other sites I own. I've configured it for right tower every page and made sure each user category permission is marked to show ads.

But it is not showing. Suggestions please?

I can see it on your forum. Make sure you don't have ad block blocking your site.

arrrghh - you're right. Man, that was really really stupid.

But thanks for letting me know. Looks great. Exactly what I was hoping for.

Glad that was it. I read someone's similar post and that gave me an idea of what the problem could be.

You are using a custom theme and the adcode needs to be added manually

Check the modsite http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=255
And select your SMF version then apply the edits to your theme that affect the template files

Ok dumb question
when it says "./Themes/default/index.template.php"
does it mean the actual default theme or the theme i am using?

I have modified all the files according to (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?action=parse) but still nothing

It means the theme you are using the package manager automatically does the default theme for you.

Find it in the original theme where it is location wise and try to find a similar spot in your custom theme.

This is the hardest part because most custom themes use different code.
