Manual install
« on: October 11, 2006, 05:19:39 pm »
I've been trying to install this mod for a friend who's got rubbish hosting on a server running ancient versions of php and mysql. After an hour of mucking about with permissions and ownership, I give up, the ftp settings never worked in the Package Manager on this server, I'll do it manually. I'm not worried about making the modifications, but I am wondering how do the install.php? Include SSI.php and then run it manually?

Thanks in advance.

if you have phpmyadmin, it would be the fastest way.
but i think including ssi.php and then running the install.php file might work. I have never tried that though.

Just now got around to this. SSI include works a treat, and it's easy. ;) Mind I've just run it and checked to see if the changes were made and they were. Now to do the modifications....

Well after all that, I've just found out that the version for 1.0.x is not like the version for 1.1.  ::)
