Hello!

I have a problem with my forum :
I use ad management v2.3 with the french translation on a 1.1.8 SMF board.

My ads (google adsense only) appear only for admin user and not for "normal" user.
But i want ads for all members...

How can i regulate this ?

This happens also in my forum too! Furthermore, if I 'Disable all ads' the forum works OK. If I 'enable ads' the forum asks me to login again and again and again.

Help me please...

I have the same problem. Ads show to administrators only, not members or guest. Please advise. Thank you.

Thank you ccbtimewiz.

But forgive my ignorance but how does that link apply to my not being able to see the advertisements I've placed via the Ad Management? I've tried every option and combination of option to get the ads to show to non-admins, but nothing works.

I see ALL the options that I know of in the administrative area. I placed ads but only fourm administrators can see them. Members and guests can not. How do I get the ads to show in members and guests?

I have two Yahoo ads running on all pages in the forum, near the top and near the bottom.

I was answering the question that the original thread poster asked.

Regardless, what other mods do you have installed? What version of SMF are you running? Any errors in your Forum Error Log? Are you 100% sure you've configured permissions in Admin -> Permissions?

I will get back to you on this. I didn't install the forum and my web developer, who installed it, is unavailable this week. Thanks for the help.

FOR: ADS ONLY FOR ADMINs-->
ok i just fixed my problem. if u have the correct language (not English-utf) then go to Admin --> Permission --> General Permission --> Modify (for each category) --> Carry out administrative duties --> Enable Ads (click on the check box) --> Save Changes
This might help for most of us. You need to carry this process to each Profile (Guests, Regular Members, Global Moderator, etc.)

If you found this helpful come in and help others with whatever you know at http://www.flatorb.info

Thanks.

flatorb,  THANK YOU!

I've spent hours trying to get to the bottom of this, and you are right. Thanks again!!!!

OK, does anyone how do you assign someone to be a mod? I can't figure it out and can't find anything in the help files.

Thank you.

a moderator for the forum or the ads?

Lego, I figured this out. The software came with a "dummy" group called Moderators. After much fiddling and looking, I made a new category name Moderators and it's worked out find.

Are there any administrator help files with this forum??? The forum help files aren't very helpful for admins. I didn't install the forum myself.

I can't answer that question if you were asking me... I'm just a user of the software like you. But with the lack of help around here I was just offering to assist in some way.
