Installed but not working

SMF 1.1.5 > ad_mod_1-1-x_v2-3.zip

Hi,

I'm new to SMF.

So far I have installed it and messed with a few versions for about 9 months.
I am currently rolled back to 1.1.5 and I'll stay here for a while and go into production with it.

I downloaded the .zip archive and installed via the package installer.
I activated it inside the admin area: It now says "2.3 current".

There is no link to admin the mod from the CP under: "Configuration" but everything else seems in oprder.

I do not have any language options. The only option in my CP is "English", and that option is selected.

I got it working, or at least installed and the link is showing up now.

There is no info in the docs about these issues.
I found out by trial and error and multiple installs/uninstalls which files and folders that need additional attention for this thing to work.

It would pretty much be impossible for any user without troubleshooting skills to get this thing installed.

Well, I guess we'll see if it works
