How to create our own ads?

How do I display an ad that I want to create?  say I make an image file or a html document and i want to display that as an ad?  What do I need to know to be able to do this?  Or if someone wanted to place an ad on my site and all they had was an image file. 

Can anyone help me out?

To display anything you need some html code or php. A simple example to display
some text in a box using html might look like this:

<table border="1" width="100%">
  <tr>
    <td align=center>
    it's cold in the UK
    </td>
  </tr>
</table></CENTER>
This will display the words "it's cold in the UK"
To display an image replace "its cold in the UK" with the the path to your image.

Can Jeddi or anyone else please provide the code to make an ad look similar in width and length, background and foreground color, etc. to the ad of Bidvertiser and/or the ad of SMFads. I would also like to add an image of a car or multiple cars to the banner ad.
