ok I admit defeat: ad 2.3 install bug on 1.1.3

Forum version: SMF 1.1.3
Dilber MC  with the mods of here.

1.   Execute Code   install.php   
2.   Execute Modification   ./index.php   Test successful
3.   Execute Modification   ./Sources/Subs.php   Test successful
4.   Execute Modification   ./Themes/default/index.template.php   Test successful
5.   Execute Modification   ./Themes/default/BoardIndex.template.php   Test successful
6.   Execute Modification   ./Themes/default/Display.template.php   Test successful
7.   Execute Modification   ./Themes/default/MessageIndex.template.php   Test successful
8.   Execute Modification   ./Sources/ManagePermissions.php   Test successful
9.   Extract File   ./Sources/Ads.php   
10.   Extract File   ./Sources/LoadAds.php   
11.   Extract File   ./Themes/default/Ads.template.php   
12.   Extract File   ./Themes/default/languages/Ads.english.php

so when Ive done that, it says install succesfull, but no ads button appear. Ive even tried to move the ads.english to the sorce folder.

any clues, ..

I should add this is also the same result on the smf default board.

The package shows its installed, but the Installed list says No mods currently installed

Default language set to english.

I tried the  resolving_the_missing_ad_management_link_smf_113.html and still no joy,

just tried to install another mod,

and nothing will install,

ho hum back to the drawing board

Check the language at server settings in your admin panel and make sure that it is set to plain english and not english utf8 or some other language and see if that helps

ok part problem solved,

NO mods will install..     

so back to the drawing board, If anyone has any bright ideas Ive now posted in SMF
