Hi VBgamer,
I just installed in a forum of mine the newest
ad_mod_v2-3-6-4_SMF_v2-0.zip

but now it shows in the footer a link to SMFads.com
which I find okay,
but also another link to createaforum.com site,
which I don´t want there.

Is it okay to remove the second link ?

Okay, the above errors were related to the some files like
Ads.php
and
LoadAds.php

Having only 0 ( zero) Bytes after the automatic installation.
I uploaded again the PHP files from the admod and now the
admin area works.

I only get at the Settings area:

Settings
Disable ads for admins

Hmm, after installation via package manager
of Version Admod 2.3 on SMF 1.1.3 and TP 0.983 and
editing all 4 template files
I am getting now this error,
when I want to go in Admin area to the
Ad Management at:
http://www.overunity.com/index.php?action=admod


Then I get an error saying:

Warning: call_user_func(Ads): First argument is expected to be a valid callback in /mounted-storage/home4/sub002/sc11940-GNVW/overunity/index.php on line 136

and in the main windows I get:
An Error Has Occurred!
Unable to load the 'main' template.


In my index.php file at line 136 is:
// What function shall we execute? (done like this for memory's sake.)
call_user_func(smf_main());


So I can not control the ads,
so what must I change to get into the
Ad Management Admin area ?

Can´t he find the normal default theme template or what ?
I am using a modded Azure theme.

Hi,
I have a problem.

I only have 30.000 updates per hour on my hosting platform
from my hoster. This is my hosting limit
at www.overunity.com

Now I have installed SMF 1.1.1 plus Tinyportal 0.97 and SMF_Ads
latest version and I get per page about 3 to 5 updates written to the database...
when I show banner ads inside the topics.

I see, this is used for the report function of SMF_Ads.

Can the report function be disabled and thus reduce the updates to the database ?
I can not see, where I could disable the reporting...

I didn´t mean both left and right at each other side by side,
but to use 2 different ads in the ad management admin area.

If you want 2 banner at the buttom you must probably copy both banner
codes into 1 ad and just only click:
Display this banner at the bottom of the forum...

P.S: Yes, I am from Berlin, Germany.

What must be changed to get the
Ad Management mod V 2.0
fully supported in the Azure theme ?

Can anybody point me to a link,
where I can see the modifications
I have to do to the Azure Theme,
so that I can choose
all Ad positions ?

When I use
Ad Mod
under TP 0.96 and Azure and SMF 1.1 RC3
I could not place banners at the bottom
of the forum and also in some other places
it was not visible.

So how must I change any PHP template file
to fully integrate it ?

Hi,
where can I set the left border before the skyscraper ad comes...

Normally there is at least 20 to 30 pixels at the very left of the browser, before the left
skyscraper ad is displayed.

This takes up a lot of space, especially, if people only use a 640x480 or 800x600
screen size.

I would prefer the ad be at the very left side without any border....

Where can I change this ?

There were a few users, who had posted some valuable
information.
But as there was started a flamewar, now some have left the
forum
and they have deleted their accounts.

Now also all postings with their earlier valuable
information is gone !

How can I avoid this, that also their postings will
be deleted automatically from my forum ?

Is there any settings in the admin area, that prevents that ?

Hi,
I just made a banner ad from ebay revelance
ads and also clicked, that it should be placed
at the buttom of every page.

Then I added another ad
which had just javascript in it
and said, it should only display at the buttom
of the page and then the ebay banner was not displayed
at the buttom, but only the javascript Kontera Content ad.

I use SMF 1.1 RC3 with Admod V2_RC3

Many thanks for the demo board.
Now my questions before installing the 2.0 version:

1. To add the skyscraper ads I thought there would be tables
throughout the forum and not just under the user ifo header ?

2. Can there be placed 2 or more skyscraper ads at the right or left side
or just one only ? ( if you have a longer thread scrolling down will not show the
ad anymore..)

3. Are the skyscraper ads also refreshed, when I reload the the page ?
It seems in your demo board the google ads stay always he same, normally
they just change every time you refresh the page...
