Title: how to install a mod thru package manager?
Post by: mutya on October 18, 2006, 06:41:35 pm
hi, this will be my 1st time to load a mod. I downloaded ad_mod_rc2_v1-2.zip, unzipped and ftp'd the files to the smf theme dilbermc folder. Tried to manually install it and I get this error : Fatal error: Call to undefined function: db_query().
The posts here says that I should use the package manager. How do I do that with the ad mod? what should i upload in the Upload Package, the zip file or the unzipped file? pls. help a newbie, thanks    :)

Go to your admin panel and then to packages then to download hit the browse button at the bottom and browse for the mod on your desktop. Upload the whole thing and the rest you should be able to figure out. On a note though the package manager only installs to the default theme so you will have to do the edits manually to the template files in the dilber folder. All the edits can be found here written out in the themes board.
