Title: Ad is empty
Post by: robertnzana on February 20, 2009, 12:03:56 AM
I copy/pasted my google adwords code into the new Ad and it doesn't appear...

Example:  http://forum.ttg911.com/index.php?topic=257.0

Check at the bottom of the posts...  I see the Ad CONTAINER (in blue) but can't click on it and no ads show up!

Any ideas why?

Example code:
<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "pub-000000000000000000";
/* 468x60, created 2/19/09 */
google_ad_slot = "000000000";
google_ad_width = 468;
google_ad_height = 60;
//-->
</script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
</script>

When using a CUSTOM theme (I downloaded from the internet) where/how do I edit it so that the SMF Ads works properly? Is it difficult?

If there is a problem (this is how I tell anyway)
when your installing, it will tell you there is something
wrong with the instillation, if you look at the file that
says "Failed" then get that file from your forum from
ether your host of a program (like Filezella) go to
SMF site, look you the MOD your trying to fix and
go to the Manual install of your SMF ver (1.0.7, .8 ect)
and find the instructions for the file that "Failed" and
manually edit the code, Always, Always, Always make
2 copys of the file, that way you can switch the files
if something goes wrong, its usualy not that hard
(depending on the MOD ant the Theme your installing on)
but it can be done,

Sorry that this is sorta hard to understand, its a bit confusing
sorry  >.<
