Title: Column Ads Display Below Posts!!!
Post by: midas on January 12, 2009, 05:09:22 pm
I've used this mod for quite a while and have only just noticed that column ads only display properly for logged-in users; for guests they show beneath the final post.  Does anyone know of a fix for this or a method for me to adjust the width of displayed posts?

An example of the problem can be seen here (http://www.journalxtra.com/index.php?topic=19.0).

In the example page you'll see that the ad in the right hand column appears below the post next to the footer ad!!!  It only displays correctly along side the post for logged in users.  I think the issue is caused by the post's display width being wider for guests than for members and thus the ad is being pushed to the next available space.  Any suggestions?

Ad-mod version?

Does this occur on the default theme?

It's Ad Mod version 2.3.  It does happen in the default theme (just tested it).

Please can someone provide a solution to this, it's doing my nut in  :D

I've tried editing display.template.php and making minor alterations to various widths (individually decreased them by 1%) but this didn't make any difference (so I restored them to their original values).  Where else might I make an alteration that will stop the column ads from being pushed underneath the last message?
