I Cant post in the ADD Code thread so I started a new thread
Your Mod seems to work well
http://www.bsbb.ca/bia/index.php
;D Maybee even too well 200 % to well
it seems to show 2 of anything that I put up
I left daffy duck running for you to see
My code is this
<img src="http://www.bsbb.ca/Gifs/Daffy.gif" />
(http://www.bsbb.ca/Gifs/Daffy.gif)
all that is turned on is
Type = HTML and
" Display ads on every page right below the menu "
By the way for anyone who is interested
This works well with the mod
The Random Image Rotator (http://automaticlabs.com/products/rotator)
Electrahome
I dont profess to be a coder as the last time I did any work like this was 15 years ago working with MicroSoft ACCESS
so this is just a question
The rotaer works well for showing a random image but there is no way to click on it and have it take you to a website
here is the questions
- If the files in the directory had a name like Google com.jpg
- Could your ad module read the name of the jpg file and delete the .jpg extention
- and create a link that is associated to the file being viewed with the name of " www.http://google.com
I believe it was concaterion of strings or something like that in VB oh so many years ago
I just noticed that I can only see the adds ( Daffy Duck ) when I am logged in as an administrator
I tried severl different profiles as an admin and as a plain old posting member and as a registered member and as a guest
the ADMIN is the only one who could see the Daffy duck ad
maybe this should have been in the bug area
I have a fresh install that is running Tiny Portal and no other mods installed
No this is not a bug....the image rotator is just that....an image rotator....no links.
It works just like if you used Fireworks MX (Dreamweaver Studio product) and laid out several images to rotate then host them somewhere....
Whalla image rotator!
I gave you the code to enter on your other topic but here it is again...
<a href="http://www.mwmotorcycles.com/smf/index.php/topic,28.0.html"><img src="http://img126.imageshack.us/img126/5206/bannerimagebluegrey2mw.gif" border="0" width="470" alt="Advertise Here" />
Its simple html......the 'a href' is the link.....the 'img src' is the picture that is linked. The 'alt' is some text shown when the pointer is on it.
verify that others have the permission to view the ads
grin I could try that if I hadnt started playing
;D
