Title: Multiple databases
Post by: scvoyager on December 20, 2007, 10:31:53 AM
I'm a member over on Bigguy's site and he thought I should post this here. I wanted try having two seperate smf forums running off of one database with completely different looks and ads but since smfads runs off of one database table this is impossible. I rewrote the package to create a second admanagement called admanagement1 and it also creates two new databases, smf_ads1 and smf_ads1_settings.

After doing this I thought it would be nice if people could have multiple admods on a forum mainly so they could have certain permissions for each and show different ads for each member group.

Just a thought.

Different ads for different membergroups is a goal of mine. It just has been very difficult to keep up with everything.
